Description
Embark on a deep-sea fishing trip to Inhaca Island, located off the coast of Mozambique near Maputo. Enjoy the opportunity to explore the rich marine biodiversity of the Indian Ocean. Try your hand at catching some of the ocean's biggest and most exciting fish. Depart from the port of Maputo and travel to Inhaca Island by speedboat. If you’re already staying on the island, you can start directly from Inhaca. The boat trip to Inhaca takes roughly 1 to 2 hours by speedboat, covering about 30-40 km. The waters around Inhaca Island are home to a wide variety of fish species, making it a prime destination for fishing. Depending on the season, you could catch kingfish, dorado, yellowfin tuna, sailfish, marlin, wahoo, and barracuda. Try trolling, one of the most common methods in these waters. Large predatory fish like marlin, sailfish, and tuna are often caught this way by trailing lures or bait behind the moving boat. You may also fish closer to the reef systems near the island, targeting species like snapper, grouper, and other reef dwellers. A typical deep-sea fishing trip lasts 8-10 hours, giving you plenty of time to fish, explore, and enjoy the scenery around the island. Some operators also offer shorter trips, which last about 4-5 hours if you prefer a lighter experience. The fishing experience is complemented by stunning views of Inhaca Island and nearby Portuguese Island, as well as possible sightings of dolphins, whales (in season), and various bird species. Even if you’re not fishing every moment, the journey provides an incredible way to relax and take in the beauty of Mozambique’s coastline.Includes
